The Hanoverian society have approved the Oldenburg licensed dressage stallion Detroit (Dimaggio x Lord Liberty) at their 2010 winter stallion approval.

Suzanne and number of the liveries took a trip to Germany to watch the Oldenburg Stallion licensing. Two Dimaggio sons were presented and both licensed. The Dimaggio x Wolkentanz II x Corde sold for €60,000 and the Dimaggio x Diamond Hit x Sandro sold for €75,000

On the Saturday evening the Oldenburg Society included two Dimaggio sons in the stallion parade; Detroit and Harmony's Desiderio

Tracy Tomlinson and Bijou III (Dimaggio) won a Medium qualifier at South View dressage and were also third in the Advanced Medium qualifier.

Andrea Martin and Keystone Sandringham (Sandro Hit) were out at Step by Step where they won a Medium qualifier completing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships

Neil Hopkins and Divalli (Dimaggio) won both a Medium and an Elementary class at Step by Step today

Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) were second in an Freestyle Elementary qualifier at Epping Forest gaining qualification to the Winter Championships

Also on winning form at Epping Forrest, Sian Sheridan and Keystone Dimaggic (Dimaggio) took two Novice classes and have gained their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships

Laura Halstead and Don Clyde (Dimaggio) had a great day out at Kingston Maurward College. They completed their qualifications to the Winter Regional Championships at both Elementary and Novice winning a qualifier at both levels

Trudi Gatrell and Decadence D (Dimaggio) won a Novice qualifier at Vectis Dressage sealing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships

Sandra Hall and Divine Expression (Dimaggio) won a Medium class at Blackdyke Farm Riding and were second in a Medium qualifier completing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships

Rachel Smith and Weronique (Walentino) gained qualification to the Winter Regional Championships by winning a Novice qualifier at Solihull Riding Club with 70.83%. They were also second in another Novice class.

Verity Saul and Debutante (Dimaggio) won an Elementary class at Field House Equestrian Centre and were third in the Freestyle Elementary qualifier

Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) were second in an Elementary qualifier at Crofton Manor

Sandra Tizzard and Di Marco II (Dimaggio) won a Medium qualifier at Patchetts completing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships. They were also 5th in the Advanced 100.

Also out at Patchets, Jenine Jones and Keystone Ricardo (Rotspon) won an Elementary qualifier completing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships. They were also second in a Medium qualifier.

Matthew Burnett and Treliver Decanter (Dimaggio) had a great outing to Kings Equestrian Centre Lings where they won an Advanced Medium with 70.88% and an Advanced Medium qualifier with 72.89% - they've now completed their qualification to Winter Regional Championships

Mike Garman and Devana (Dimaggio) were out at Burrows Court Farm where they won a Medium qualifier with 70% and second Medium class with 71.29%. They have now qualified for the Winter Regional Championships

Tracy Tomlinson and Bijou III (Dimaggio) won a Medium qualifier at Reaseheath College with 70.27% completing their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships. They were also third in another Medium class

Laura Halstead and Don Clyde (Dimaggio) won an Elementary qualifier at Moreton Equestrian Centre with 73.24%. They were also second in a Novice qualifier

Sandra Hall and Divine Expression (Dimaggio) were second in two Medium classes at R.E.C. Events

Serano was very well received at the British Warmblood 2010 stallion licensing that took place at Hartpury this weekend.  He was one of only two stallions premiumed licensed and was crowned Reserved Champion. There were 26 stallions entered and the judges were very impressed with his wonderful confirmation and type; finding it difficult to choose between the top two. A further five stallions also licensed.

Olwen Mayes and Dimoschino (Dimaggio) won an Advanced Medium qualifier at Harolds Park Farm and also a Medium qualifier.

Also out at Harolds Park Farm, Rachel Skeffington and Keystone Denada (Dimaggio) won a Novice class to complete their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships

Sandra Hall and Divine Expression (Dimaggio) were out at Rowallan Activity Centre for the second day on the trot. Today they  won a Medium class and were second in a Medium qualifier.

Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) had a good day out at Crofton Manor. They won the an Elementary with 71.03% and an Elementary qualifier with 72.14%.

A grey Dimaggio son (Dimaggio x Feinbrand x Akzent II) was premium licensed by the Hanoverians in Germany and sold for €200,000 at the auction that followed. The stallion was bred by Stefan Hermann in Pfarrgarten, Germany.

He can be seen being loose jumped in the run up to the main licensing Congratulations to all his connections

Rachel Smith and Weronique (Walentino) were out at LVFRC Dressage where they were joint second in a Novice qualifier and third in a Novice class

Matthew Burnett and Treliver Decanter (Dimaggio) completed their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships by winning an Open Medium qualifier at Kings Equestrian Centre

Debbie Poynter and Keystone For Real (Florencio I) also completed their qualification to the Winter Regional Championships by winning a Novice class at The Berkshire Equestrian Centre with 71.92%

Burghley Horse Trials

Congratulations to Angela Mace, the eventer Faerie Dianimo (Dimaggio x Catherston Dazzler) and all their connections on winning the Young Event Horse 5 year Old Championship. They got the highest mark for the jumping phase, a high dressage mark and 13/15 for conformation which placed them in the lead going into the final phase. A nine from judge Christopher Bartle sealed her win giving her a convincing six mark margin of victory. They also won the Best British Bred and Highest Placed Mare.

Dimaggio heads the BEF 2010 Futurity Sire Rankings for Dressage

Five Dimaggio youngstock were taken to futurity events around the UK this year resulting in him taking the top place on the Dressage sire ranking. Two of the five received the highly coveted Elite award.

Coincidently the same number of Rhondeo offspring also went out to these events placing him sixth in the Dressage sire ranking with one of his yearlings also gaining an Elite award.  

Congratulations to all the owners and breeders who took part in this years futurity.

Manuel Bammel and Dame Maggio (Dimaggio x Akzent II) won the six year old dressage horse Bundeschampionate qualifier at the regional show in Elmlohe, Germany.

Anna Katharina Luttgen and Duvier (Dimaggio x Absinth) were joint runners up in the five year old dressage test at Heroldsberg Dressage Gala in Germany scoring 8.1 to qualify for the Bundeschampionate.

AUGUST

HICKSTEAD CDI3*/ 5* and Dressage Masters Championships

Congratulations to:-

• Suzanne and Rhondeo (Rotspon). They won the Dressage Masters Advanced Medium Championship and were also third in the Dressage Masters Small Tour Championship first round finishing fifth overall. Then on Saturday they competed in Rhondeo's first Inter I and were the Intermediaire I Invitation Reserve Champions.

• Charlotte Dujardin and Don Archie (Dimaggio). They were Champions in the British Young Horse International 6 year class and Reserve Champions in the National Young Horse class. Don Archie was bred by the stud and is owned by Ann Cory and Carl Hester

• Charlotte Dujardin and GF Deville (Dimaggio). They were Reserve Champions in both the British Young Horse National 5 year old Championships and the British Young Horse International 5 year old Championships

• Kate Smith and Keystone Darling (Dimaggio) were third in the Intermediaire I Invitation class

• Michel Assouline and Mr and Mrs Porter's Dolcino (Dimaggio x Rubenstein) who were fourth in the British Young Horse Championship final.

Congratulations to Sandy Senior and GF Dusautoir  (Dimaggio) on scoring 9.11 to be awarded the top grading of Elite status in the foal dressage class at the BEF Futurity Evaluations at Arena UK. Dimaggio foals are currently 1st and 4th in the table across all disciplines, age groups and venues.

Herman Gerdes and Detroit (Dimaggio x Lord Liberty) took second place in group two of the five year old dressage horse Bundeschampionate qualifier at the Oldenburg Regional Championships in Rastede, Germany; scoring 8.0. The five year old dressage horse group was split into two classes as there were so many entries hoping to qualify for the finals held in Warendorf.

The stud had a very successful outing to the BEF Futurity Evaluations at Plumpton. We took two of this years foals:-

Keystone Darling II was awarded the top grading of Elite status and had the highest score across all age groups and disciplines. Keystone Darling II is the full sister of the Keystone Darling, Kate Smith's Dimaggio mare that is out competing successfully at PSG & Inter I.

Keystone Banoffee (Rhondeo) our pony colt had the reserve high score in the dressage foal class

Dimaggio Gelding Selected for Team GB - 2010 European Junior and Young Riders Championships

Congratulations to Olivia Oakley and her Dimaggio gelding Donna Summer who have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2010 European Junior and Young Riders Dressage Championships in Kronberg, Germany.

Suzanne and Rhondeo (Rotspon) were out competing at the Patchetts where they won the Freestyle Advanced Medium qualifier with 75.33% completing their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships.

Kate Smith and Keystone Darling (Dimaggio) joined in the fun at the Dressage Extravaganza Show in aid of The Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. She and Darling won the PSG Freestyle with 75.25% and then took the Inter 1 Freestyle with 73%

Maxime Whalley was also out supporting this worthy charity. She rode her Dimaggio gelding Essentially Diniall in the Medium class and was fourth.

Jana Freund and Demirel (Dimaggio x Hawk Hill xx) were competing in the 5 year old dressage horse class at Duisburg-Hamborn where they won the class with overall score of 8. They were the only combination to score an 8 ranking them at the top of the leader board.

Verity Saul and Debutante (Dimaggio) won two Elementary classes at Vale View Equestrian Centre

Thank you to Terri Brooks who has sent us news of her two home bred mares by Dimaggio out of her ex race horse thoroughbred mare, Fort-Galas Pride:-

• DiVine born May 2003 was the three year old Champion and Best British Bred Mare at the BHHS Show in 2006 and came 4th in the SHB class at Kent County Show in the same year. In 2009 she was the Champion 6 - 9 year old Mare; overall Reserve Champion Mare and also the Best British Bred Mare at the BHHS Show.

• Dita Von Teese born 2008 was the highest scoring Eventing Yearling in the BEF Futurity held at The College where she was awarded a 1st Premium for Eventing and also a 2nd Premium for Dressage.

A Dimaggio four year old 17hh gelding, Dzeko, was one of the top lots at the Oldenburg Summer Mixed auction. He was sold to the Polish Grand Prix rider Katarzyna Milczarek for €35,500. The average price was €16,332.

Laurence Hunt and the eventer On Q for Gold (Dimaggio) were second in the Open Intermediate class at Little Downham finishing on their dressage score.

Also out eventing today were Angela Mace and Faerie Dianimo (Dimaggio). They were sixth in the BE100 class at Ascott Under Wynchwood finishing on their dressage score.

Sandra Hall and black gelding Divine Expression (Dimaggio x Current Magic) were out competing at Etal and were third in a restricted Medium.

Congratulations to Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Delegate (Dimaggio) who have been selected to join the World Class Equine Pathway Scheme. Equine Pathway was setup by the British Equestrian Federation to identify horses that have the potential to develop into medal winning horses, the programme then works with and support the riders and the owners of the horses in order to help them maximise the horses' potential.

Alice is also out competing another Dimaggio youngster - Headmore Daydreamer and they have qualified for the Shearwater Young Dressage Horse 4 year old final

Jennie Jones and Keystone Ricardo (Rotspon) were out at Oldencraig competing in a couple of unaffiliated Medium classes. They won one and were second in the other.

Kate Smith had two horses in the Inter II qualifier at Merrist Wood. She was third with Keystone Weltkaiser (Weltmeyer) and fourth with Keystone Darling (Dimaggio).

Anthony Turnbull and Diluvio (Dimaggio) were out eventing today at Bishop Burton and were tenth in the Novice class.

St. Pr. Pinnella (Prince Thatch) has produced a super black colt by Dimaggio. Dimaggio's sire and dam were both black and he often throws black offspring if the mare is dark.

Thank you to John and Christine Crockett for sending us news of their five year old Walentino gelding, Walter's Fable, photographed at their dressage yard in Normandy, France ridden by French dressage rider Christine Tranchant. He's described as "super flexible" and "very trainable".

22nd May

Sarah Ansty and Woodhams Debutante (Dimaggio) were out at Crofton Manor coming second and third in the two restricted Novice classes

Also competing at Crofton,  Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) won the open Novice qualifier and were 2nd in the Novice 22 test with 72.07% completing their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships having only contested four classes this season.

Kate Smith and Keystone Darling (Dimaggio) were fifth at Hickstead in the PSG qualifier

Having won yesterday at dressage Anthony Turnbull and Diluvio (Dimaggio) were out eventing today at Floors Castle and were eighth in the Novice class.

Rhondeo offspring out winning at Novice

Lauren O'Hagan had two wins and a third place in affiliated Novice classes at Rowallan Activity Centre riding Vikki Shutt's 4 year old stallion Quaikin Ricochet. Rhondeo is only eight this year and Quaikin Ricochet is from is first crop of foals.

Don Archie (Dimaggio) and Katie Bailey were out competing at Burrows Court Farm and won both Elementary classes with scores in the 70s.

Headmore Delegate (Dimaggio) and Alice Oppenheimer had a good day out at Crofton Manor. They won the Medium and Advanced Medium qualifiers with scores in the 70s. This has completed their qualification at both levels for the Summer Regional Championships.

Suzanne and Rhondeo won the Music Freestyle FEI PSG qualifier at Sheepsgate Premiere League. This was Rhondeo's first  PSG Freestyle class and they scored 72.65%. They were also 4th in the other PSG class. This has qualified them for Wellington Riding's Music Freestyle PSG Championship in June and also they have qualified for the Summer Regional Championships at PSG.

Sandra Tizzard and Di Marco II (Dimaggio) won a Medium qualifier at Windmill Farm.

Alice Oppenheimer and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) were out winning at Merrist Wood. They took both Novice classes.

Andrea Martin and Keystone Sandringham (Sandro Hit) won a Medium class at Step by Step and were third in the qualifier.

Verity Saul and Debutante (Dimaggio) won the two Elementary classes at Swallowfield Equestrian Centre including the qualifier.

The stud's first pony foal has arrived - "Banoffi" is a dun colt by Rhondeo out of our Welsh 13hh broodmare "Lucy".

Lucy was purchased last year with a view to breeding a pony stallion. Her first foal has not disappointed. She is going back in foal - this time to Dimaggio.

Another foal has arrived, this time to a client's mare. The bay filly is Dimaggio x Lingh x Rubinstein I

Detroit (Dimaggio x Lord Liberty G x Goldloewe) won the 5 year old Bundeschampionship qualifier held at the St. Georg zu Bremen Riding Club in Bremen Germany. This talented black Oldenburg licensed stallion was described as having "awe-inspiring basic gaits with incredible potential in trot and canter" in the coverage by Eurodressage

Katie Bailey and Don Archie (Dimaggio) were second in the Elementary qualifier at Abbey dressage and were third in the other Elementary class

Keystone Orinoko and Linda Dungey won an Elementary class at Kingswood Equestrian and were third in the qualifier

Ben Martin and DiMaggik (Dimaggio) won a Novice at Hasting Wood Summer Dressage with 74.83% getting a 9 for one of their canter circles and completing their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships. Ben describes DiMaggik as taking everything in her stride and is " a complete joy to train, compete and handle"

The stud has been able to secure the purchase of "Serano" a stunning black stallion by Serano Gold (pictured right ridden by Edward Gal).

Serano by Serano Gold (Sandro Hit) x Natellio xx is a stunning, elegant black three year old licensed Oldenburg Stallion. He has a beautiful head and neck, super uphill confirmation and big elastic paces for a top dressage career.

Purchased from the same stallion producer as Dimaggio, Serano will be available to British breeders 2010.

Congratulations to our connections out competing in the Young Riders International at Addington CDI:-

• Melissa Beer and Celestial King were 3rd in the Young Riders Kur

• Olivia Oakley and Donna Summer (Dimaggio) were 5th in the Young Riders Team Championship test and 6th in the individual test - they were the highest placed combination for GB in both classes. Olivia is only 16 years old making their results even more impressive and exciting for the future.

Laura Geary, 15, had a write up in Horse and Hound 1st April. She has had her third win in a row at prelim riding Dinero, a six year old 17.2hh Dimaggio gelding. Dinero is out of a Just A Monarch mare and is owned by Laura, her mother Helen and Dinero's breeder Dr Patricia Milligan. Laura is aiming to event Dinero in junior regional novice this year and we wish them well.

A great day out for Karin Hoerner and Tremorfa William Tell (Walentino). They won both Prelim classes at Haddon Equestrian Centre with 77.5% and 82.08%.

Laura Halstead and Don Clyde (Dimaggio) won a Novice class at Crofton Manor Equestrian Centre with 73.21%

Congratulations to Suzanne and Rhondeo. They had their second ever outing at PSG today and won the class with over 70%. They also won the Advanced Medium qualifier with 72%.

More exciting news has come in from the Sunshine Tour in southern Spain - congratulations to Charlotte Dujardin and Don Archie (Dimaggio) - who have won both FEI 6 year old classes with scores of 76.4 % and 79.80%. Don Archie was bred by the stud and is owned by Ann Cory and Carl Hester.

Jessica Glasow and her homebred Dimaggio gelding Laschka.e. won the Medium qualifier at Sheepgate Equestrian completing their qualification the Summer Regional Championships.

We've done some number crunching to prepare for an feature on Dimaggio in the BEF's British Breeding magazine.

The  top five stallions with the most offspring competing at the 2009 British Dressage National  Championships were:-

• 1st - Sandro Hit with 8

• 2nd - Dimaggio with 7

• 3rd - Rotspon, Jazz and Weltmeyer with 6 each

This year Dimaggio offspring had 33 Qualifications to British Dressage's Winter Regional Championships

Congratulations to Jenine Jones and Keystone Ricardo (Rotspon). They have been awarded a wild card for the Elementary Open class at the Pet Plan Equine Area Festival Championships. These Championships take place at Hartpury at the same time as British Dressage's Winter Championships.

Anthony Turnbull took his eventing stallion Diluvio (Dimaggio) out to Holmside Hall Equestrian in Durham and won the Novice qualifier. They were also third in the Elementary qualifier.

Julie Coope and Don Dimitri (Dimaggio) were out at Vale View Equestrian Centre and won a Medium class with 73.14. They also won the Medium qualifier completing their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships. 

Trudi Gatrell and Decadence D (Dimaggio) were out at Isle of Wight and completed their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships by winning the Restricted Novice qualifier

Liz Maxwell and Wishing Star (Walentino) won a Novice class at Sparsholt College and collected their first British Dressage points. "Sunny" was bred by Candover Stud and is a very special mare as she broke her elbow following a kick in the field as a foal and had a plate inserted by the vets at Liphook. Liz and Wishing star are looking forward to going to the home international camp and trying for the team.

Ben Martin was out riding Nicky Tomes' DiMaggik (Dimaggio) again today. This is their 3rd ever competition and they won both the Novice and the Novice qualifier at Patchetts with scores in the 70s.

Michael Eilberg and Woodlander Dornroschen

(Dimaggio x Caprimond x Der Clou) are out on the Sunshine Tour in Spain where they have won the Owners Class - Junior Riders Team Championship test and come second in both the Owners Class - Junior Preliminary Tests.

The picture on the right is of Dornroschen as a foal with her breeder Karin & Manfred Hoerner of Tremorfa Stud.

The stud is please to announce the sale of "Arthur" to German rider Kathrin Meyer zu Strohen best known for winning the World Breeding Championships and Bundeschampionship with the record breaking mare - Poetin. Arthur a 17hh four year old Dimaggio stallion was bred in Germany and purchased by the stud as a yearling. He was raised, backed and produced with us in the UK until going back to Germany to prepare for licensing. Word spread of his amazing movement and temperament and Kathrin felt he had the top potential she was looking for. We wish them every success and look forward to following their progress.

28th Feb

Ben Martin and Nicky Tomes' Dimaggio mare DiMaggik won the Freestyle Novice qualifier at Epping Forest and were second in the Novice qualifier. They have got themselves their first qualification to the Summer Regional Championships.

Ben is quoted in Horse and Hound 11th March - "She is a hot ride, but very trainable. This was only her second competition and we will take our time with her. I've not had a Dimaggio horse before and I would definitely have another."

25th Feb

Suzanne was out at Step by Step riding Rhondeo in his first Prix St. George test. It all went well and they were 2nd in the class. They also won the Advanced Medium Qualifier.

The winner of the PSG class was Kate Smith and Keystone Darling (Dimaggio). Kate who used to work at UK Hanoverians went on to also win the Inter 1 class.

Maxime Whalley and Essentially Diniall (Dimaggio) won the Medium Qualifier and were 2nd in the other Medium class.

• Laura Halstead and Don Clyde on winning the Kingston Maurward Novice Restricted Winter Regional Championship

• Lynn Wickes and Don Amore were 2nd in the Advanced Medium Open and 3rd in the Advance Medium Open Music Freestyle at Kingston Maurward

• Olivia Oakeley and Donna Summer on winning the Addington Advanced Medium Restricted Winter Regional Championship

So that is 7 Regional Championships won by Dimaggio offspring this weekend and 2 Reserve Champions.

Congratulations also go to Melissa Beer and Celestrial King on winning the Addington Advanced Medium Music Freestyle Winter Regional Championship along with the Addington Prix St. George Music Freestyle. 

Maxime Whalley and Essentially Diniall (Dimaggio) completed their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships by winning a Medium class at Step by Step. They were also 2nd in the other Medium class.

Jessica Glasow and Laschka.e. won the Medium qualifier at Sheepgate Equestrian with 70%. Jessica is quoted in Horse and Hound 18th February - "I wanted a dressage horse for myself so picked Dimaggio and we got this fabulous looking foal,... He qualified for all the finals in the young horse classes as a five year old and was placed twice - he certainly holds his own against imported horses."

Sandra Hall and Divine Expression (Dimaggio) won both Elementary classes at R.E.C. Events

Julie Coope and Don Dimitri (Dimaggio) were out today. They won the Medium qualifier at Vale View Equestrian Centre with 71.47% and were 2nd in the other Medium class.

Laura Halstead and Don Clyde (Dimaggio) won another Novice class today. This time at Kingston Maurward with 74.29%.

Sally Barnes and Keystone Diaz (Dimaggio) won both Medium classes at Sparsholt College and have qualified for the Summer Regional Championships

Tracey Hoadley and Keystone Diablo (Dimaggio) won both the Freestyle Music Elementary qualifier and the Freestyle Music Novice qualifier with scores in the 70s. This pair are now qualifier for the Summer Regional Championships at both levels.

• Suzanne and Rhondeo won both their Advanced Medium classes having not been out since August and have qualified for the Summer Regional Championships.

• Jenine Jones and Keystone Ricardo (Rotspon) won the Elementary Qualifier and were 2nd in the other Elementary class.

• Andrea Martin and Keystone Sandringham (Sandro Hit) won the Medium qualifier and were 3rd in the Medium 69 class

• Maxime Whalley and Essentially Diniall (Dimaggio) won the Medium 69 class and were 2nd in the Medium qualifier.

Hilary Sawyer and Hopeful Dreamer (Dimaggio) were also out at Step by Step and came 3rd in the Advanced Medium class

Thank you to Tracy Cooper who sent us these great pictures of her foal Dexter (Dimaggio) at six months running in the indoor school with Tiddler (Dimaggio).

Dexter is the bay with the amazing forearm. Both foals were born at the stud summer 2009 and are being run on here at UK Hanoverians.

Another great day out for Sian Sheridan and Keystone Dimaggic (Dimaggio) at Patchetts. They won the Freestyle Elementary qualifier with 79.38% and the Freestyle Novice with 74.17% and have qualified for both. Then on Keystone Rubin she was 2nd in the Freestyle Medium qualifier and has qualified him too.
