UK Hanoverians is a top British stud farm specialising in the breeding of world class dressage horses. Our proven stallions, top class broodmares, excellent facilities and experienced staff place us at the forefront of the industry.

Our policy has always been to concentrate on quality and our customers come back year after year.

The business was setup in 2001 by Suzanne Lavandera (nee Davies) and evolved out of her 1st company - Keystone Equestrian. This is worth knowing if you are not familiar with our horses as we use Keystone as prefix as part of our naming convention. FEI changes to the naming convention has lead to some of our youngstock now having the suffix UKH.

We have all the facilities needed to breed, raise and train the horses in our care so that they reach their full potential.

SERVICES

Artificial Insemination (AI)

Stallions

We collect semen from our own stallions and we offer a nation wide distribution of semen across the UK with excellent fertility results. By mounting a dummy horse our stallions will avoid risks such as injury, behaviour problems or cross contamination of sexually transmitted diseases, which can be associated with stallions covering mares naturally.

Mares

Visiting mares are taken at livery for AI with fresh or chilled semen, which includes semen that has been sent from non-UK Hanoverian stallions. Mares should arrive prior to 'coming in season' and will be constantly monitored to obtain the optimum timing for insemination.

Livery

We do have a small number of livery clients whose horses are stabled with us. These are typically full livery clients who train regularly with Suzanne. We also look after a number of mares and youngsters that are on field livery. Owners sometimes ask us to run foals on or perhaps take their youngster through to ridden work which we class as training livery.

Pregnant mares come to us for foaling livery and occasionally we have horses staying with us on short term full livery.

Lessons

Suzanne teaches a number of clients who bring their own horses to the yard for lessons. She also runs clinics in the UK and Germany.

If you require any information on any of the the above services please don't hesitate to contact us

SUPPLIERS

Our vet Huw Griffiths is part of the team at Liphook and specialises in stud medicine. Huw does a brilliant job looking after our horses and has worked with us for a number of years.

Mark Rees is our farrier, and like Huw he has worked with us for a number of years. We really appreciate his range of skills, from complex shoeing through to patiently trimming the foals and youngstock.
