British Dressage have announced the teams going to the 2012 European Junior/Young Riders Championships that are running from 8th to 15th July at Dressur Akademie Silvia Ikle in Berne, Switzerland and two Dimaggio offspring have been selected for the Young Rider Team.

Laura Halstead and Don Clyde (Dimaggio) won two Elementary classes at Kingston Maurward College with 73%+ scores completing their qualification to the Summer Regional Championships

Laura Hassler and the Oldenburg licensed stallion Diamo Gold (Dimaggio x Ex Libris) won the 5-year old Bundeschampionatet qualifier at Bargstedt with an overall score of 8.5 getting them into the final. The individual marks were 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for canter and submission and 9 for trot and general impression.

Congratulations to Polish rider Katarina Milczarek-Jasinska and her 6-year old Dimaggio chestnut gelding Dzeko. They won the Bundeschampionate qualification class held at Hofgut Prietzen scoring 8.6 to qualify for the final which takes place in Warendorf in September.

Katarzyna bought the liver chestnut at the 2010 Oldenburg Summer Mixed Sales in Vechta for 35,500 euro.

Dzeko is the third Dimaggio offspring to qualify for this prestigious competition which is the German Young Horse National Championship. Heiner Schiergen and Discovery (Dimaggio x Classiker) scored 8.4 in the 5 year old class at Neuss-Grefrath in May and Kira Wulferding rode Donna Diana (Dimaggio x Oldtimer xx) to score 8 at Iserlohn

Also out at Pachesham, Victoria Fenwick and Headmore Downtopia (Dimaggio) won a Freestyle Medium qualifier with 75.31%  and have qualified for the Winter Regional Championships 2013

Jonelle Richards and the eventer Faerie Dianimo (Dimaggio) were second in their Intermediate class (Section B) at Pontispool

24th May

Tyler Daly who has joined the team at UK Hanoverians took Essentially Diniall (Dimaggio) out to Step Aside Dressage and won an Advanced Medium qualifier and were second in the other Advanced Medium class.

Also at Step Aside, Rosie Andrews and Keystone Rumour (Rhondeo) won a Novice qualifier to gain their invite to the Summer Regional Championships.

17-20th May

Moorsele cdi - Belgium

Two British riders were mounted on Dimaggio offspring to represent Team GB over the weekend. Pippa Hutton and the 10 year old mare Duela were third in the Young Rider Team Test with 70.43% in a very close class with just 0.22% between Pippa and first placed Dutch rider Stephanie Kooijman and President’s Winston.

Olivia Oakeley also had a good show with her own 11 year old gelding Donna Summer. They scored 69.16% for fourth place in the CDIYR Individual on Friday and also achieved sixth place in the Team test out of a field of 23.
