December 2013 Highlights

Two new stallions join UKH

The search for a new stallion ended at Addington on Saturday with the purchase of two, 2 year old colts at Brightwell's Elite Auction

The first, a very beautiful, big moving bay (Furstenball x Weltmeyer x Royal Dance) caught Suzanne's eye in the catalogue and once she had seen him in the flesh there was no doubt he ticked all the boxes. We have named him Flamenco and we hope to present him to the Oldenburg's for licensing in the new year.  Video

Then the movement of a second colt, he has huge paces, and his exciting pedigree (Charmeur x Ferro) won him a space on the lorry home. He was a late foal and will be given time to finish maturing before starting his ridden career.

January 2013 Highlights

Rhondeo attended the BBSH annual stallion event and enjoyed showing everyone his wonderful paces. Video

We start the new year with two exciting new stallions; Arthur (soon to be registered Keystone Diaggio) is a very glamorous, liver chestnut, 2006 son of Dimaggio. He was raised and backed by UKH before being sold to Germany and we are thrilled to have him back. His big elastic paces draw a crowd when he's being worked and Suzanne loves riding him. The plan is to compete him lightly this summer and present him at the WBS-UK Stallions licensing in the Autumn. If all goes to plan he'll be available to breeders in 2014.

Then we have Teddy - Keystone Bravo - a gorgeous 2010 bright chestnut by Bonifatius out of a Weltmeyer mare. He's licensed Oldenburg and the committee commented that he had "outstanding paces", we certainly think so. He's very much settled in and has already impressed us by his uncomplicated relaxed nature.
